New Chapter New Mexico is a growing, inclusive coalition focused on expanding opportunity, protecting local jobs, and restoring balance to our politics. We’re building a commonsense movement to uplift working- and middle-class families, support local businesses, and back leaders who deliver results — not rhetoric.

New Mexico continues to rank among the highest in child poverty, suffers from stagnant wages, and sees increasing pressure on cornerstone sectors like agriculture – and the infrastructure behind reliable energy and good-paying jobs. At the same time, extreme policies from both ends of the spectrum are eroding trust, economic security, and faith in government.
But change is possible – and already underway.
A recent change in state law now allows more hardworking New Mexican families to participate in primary elections. This shift has opened the door for new leaders who reflect the values of hardworking families – not political insiders.
